Hi Kapil,
Thank's for your reply. I am not that confident to carry out the suggestions you've made so I will print what you propose and take the laptop to someone that knows what they're doing.
Thank's again.
Best Regards,
John
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
All of a sudden my Windows 10 laptop is showing 100% disc usage in task manager. My laptop as almost stopped working. Has anyone had this problem?
Thanks,
John

If you're using HDD, I would consider switching it SSD for optimal performance.
Also, I suggest you to run System File Checker scan:
sfc /scannow command and press Enter key.If issue still persists, perform clean boot:

Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
Select the Processes tab in Task Manager.
Click the Disk column header so the arrow on that column header points down.
Please provide a screenshot of that full Task Manager window.
