Following up — this outage has now persisted for multiple days with zero response from the Microsoft Marketplace team. No acknowledgment, no status update, no ETA.

Our customers cannot install or load our add-in, and we have no workaround to offer them because this is entirely a Microsoft infrastructure issue. We are fielding constant support requests from frustrated customers.

This is unacceptable. We need a response from the Microsoft Marketplace team:

    • Public acknowledgment of the outage
    • A timeline for resolution
    • An explanation of why this has been allowed to continue for days with no communication to affected partners

    Hello Ryan Gillespie,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!

I understand that you are having issue with Office add-ins from AppSource. I truly understand how you feel. Let me assist you go through this situation.

    I suggest you try this:

    1. Check Microsoft 365 service health

If you're using a business or school tenant:

Go to https://admin.microsoft.com/#/homepage > Health > Service Health

    Look for incidents affecting:

    • Microsoft AppSource
    • Office Store
    • Office add‑ins
    • Microsoft 365 apps

    A 502 from pages.store.office.com is often a service‑side outage, not a client problem.

    1. Test from different networks & devices
    • Try installing from another device or network (hotspot, VPN off).
    • If all add‑ins fail with the same 502, it's almost certainly service‑side.
    1. Test direct AppSource access

Visit: https://appsource.microsoft.com If the storefront itself loads slowly or fails, the issue is upstream.

    1. Manually add an add‑in (bypass AppSource)

If the publisher offers a manifest file (.xml), you can use:

    • Excel/Word/PowerPoint: Insert > Add‑ins > Admin‑managed > Upload manifest
    • Outlook: Settings > Manage add‑ins > Add from URL / file

This bypasses the AppSource installer page.

    1. Wait or escalate

    A 24+ hour 502 error usually means:

    • A regional AppSource CDN or backend outage, or
    • A routing issue affecting specific geographies

If it continues, please report it via Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Support

    Include your data:

    • IPv6 endpoint shown in your message
    • Region
    • Timestamp
    • HAR file if possible

I hope this will help with your situation. Please feel free to reach back if you have further update or more questions.

    Best Regards,
