Check Zoom app's own settings, ensure correct mic, audio o/p device is configured.

Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Zoom > Advanced options > App permissions > Make sure Microphone option is On.

    Hi Roy McKinney,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand that you have no sound output when joining a Zoom meeting on Windows 11.

Please make sure you already tried the Q&A Assist steps shared above. In addition, I need to narrow this down a bit:

    • Does audio work normally in other apps like YouTube or system sounds outside Zoom?
    • Are you using a wired headset, Bluetooth device, or built‑in speakers during the meeting?

In the meantime, you can try these steps:

1, Check Windows sound communication behavior

    • Open Sound settings
    • Scroll to Advanced sound options and select More sound settings
    • Go to the Communications tab
    • Select Do nothing and apply the change

2, Disable audio enhancements for the active output device

    • In Sound settings, select the output device currently in use
    • Open Device properties
    • Turn off Audio enhancements and apply

3, Turn off exclusive mode for the speaker

    • In More sound settings, select the playback device
    • Open Properties and go to the Advanced tab
    • Uncheck Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device

4, Check Windows app volume specifically for Zoom

    • Open Volume mixer from Sound settings
    • Make sure Zoom volume is not muted or set too low

    5, Restart Windows Audio services

    • Open Services
    • Restart Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder

If you're experiencing no sound output during a Zoom meeting, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

    1. Check System Volume: Ensure that your system volume is not muted or set too low. You can adjust this in the system settings.
    2. Audio Output Device: Verify that the correct audio output device is selected. Sometimes, the audio may be routed to a different device. You can check this in your system settings or within the Zoom application settings.
    3. Zoom Audio Settings: In the Zoom application, go to Settings > Audio and check if the correct speaker is selected. You can also test your speaker from this menu.
    4. Driver Issues: Ensure that your audio drivers are installed and up-to-date. You can check this in Device Manager. If necessary, visit your device manufacturer's website to download the latest audio drivers.
    5. Troubleshoot Audio: Run the Playing Audio troubleshooter from the Settings app (Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters) to identify and fix any audio issues.
    6. Check for App-Specific Volume: If your system volume is fine, check if the app-specific volume settings are low. Some systems allow you to adjust the volume for individual applications.
    7. Reinstall Drivers: If the issue persists, consider reinstalling the audio drivers, as this has resolved similar issues for other users.

Following these steps should help you resolve the sound output issue during your Zoom meetings.
