    Hello Sandra Mannon,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!

I understand that you are having issue when opening OneDrive. I truly understand how you feel. Let me assist you go through this situation.

i suggest you try these steps:

    1. Refresh the page and restart your browser

Temporary glitches can trigger the certificate error

    2. Check your computer’s date & time

This is the #1 cause of this exact error on trusted sites.

If your system clock is wrong, even by a little, browsers think the certificate is invalid. On Windows:

    • Right‑click the clock > Adjust date/time
    • Turn on Set time automatically
    • Turn on Set time zone automatically

    3. Clear browser cache & cookies

Old cached certificate data can cause this error.

    4. Try an incognito/private window

If it works there, the issue is likely caused by cached data or an extension.

    5. Disable browser extensions temporarily

Some security or ad‑blocking extensions can interfere with SSL verification.

    6. Check for antivirus or firewall SSL‑scanning

Many antivirus programs intercept HTTPS traffic and break certificates.

If your antivirus has a feature like HTTPS Scanning / SSL Filtering, turn it off temporarily and retry.

    7. Try a different network (Wi‑Fi or hotspot)

Public Wi-Fi or misconfigured routers can disrupt the SSL handshake.

If it opens on another network, the problem is likely your router’s DNS or firewall.

    8. Reboot your computer

A simple restart resets certificate and network caches.

I hope this will help with your situation. Please feel free to reach back if you have further update or more questions.

    Best Regards,
