teams not showing right status setting

My father and I both have iMac and Teams. On the status it has the wrong colour dot and it will not let us change it. Mine currently is set at 'unknown' so is my father's. Before it was set as 'unavalible' (red)

How can we resolve this

    There is an ongoing issue with presence status in Teams.

    In spite of the wrong status, messaging and calling features are still enabled.

    Microsoft is aware of this issue and is working on the solution.

    According to the most recent service status update from Microsoft, the "presence status" issue should be fixed within the next hour.
