Can you please tell me when was the last time you were able to access that Outlook account? I ask because Microsoft may permanently close accounts that haven’t been used for over 2 years.
Also, please try searching for the account using these steps from Microsoft: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/forgotten-your-microsoft-account-username-b2049472-3b8f-27d3-61c6-67a668453f4c Click on "Search" and follow the instructions provided.
If you receive any error messages, such as “account doesn’t exist” or anything else, please let me know.
Click "Add comment" to let me know.
Regards,
John J.D.

Q&A Assist2026-02-08T19:03:34.6366667+00:00 AI generated content. This question contains an answer created with AI from Q&A Assist. Learn moreIf you're unable to log in to your Outlook account, especially after providing detailed information for recovery, there are a few steps you can take:
- Check Alternative Sign-In Options: When on the password page, see if there are alternative methods to sign in. If you can access your account on another device, consider changing your sign-in preferences from there.
- Wait and Retry: If you've attempted to log in multiple times unsuccessfully, it's advisable to wait for 24 hours before trying again. This waiting period can help if your account has been temporarily locked due to too many failed login attempts.
- Account Blocked: If you suspect your account may have been blocked due to suspicious activity, you can try to unblock it by following the appropriate recovery steps provided by Microsoft.
- Account Recovery Form: If you haven't already, consider filling out the Request for Account Reinstatement form to recover your account. This form allows you to provide as much information as possible to verify your identity.
- Contact Microsoft Support: If all else fails, contacting Microsoft Support directly may be necessary. They can provide assistance specific to your situation.
Make sure to keep your recovery information updated to avoid similar issues in the future.
