Hi! Does this problem occur with all files? Or only with some, like an Excel or Word document, a PDF, or an image?

Generally, this error indicates a synchronization problem.

    1. Click the ^ in the taskbar > Click the Cloud icon > Gear icon > Pause synchronization > Restart your computer.
    2. Go to the Gear icon again and start synchronization again. If the problem persists, open Settings > Accounts > Unlink your account > Restart your computer > Log in again.

The error code 0x8007017C typically indicates that there is a problem with the OneDrive sync process or that OneDrive is unable to access the files. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check OneDrive Status: Ensure that OneDrive is running properly. You can check the OneDrive icon in the taskbar notification area. If it’s not running, start OneDrive from the Start menu.
    2. Reset OneDrive: Resetting OneDrive can often resolve sync issues. You can do this by following the instructions provided in the Microsoft support documentation for resetting OneDrive.
    3. Reinstall OneDrive: If resetting does not work, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling OneDrive. This can help resolve any underlying issues with the application.
    4. Check Network Connection: Ensure that your PC is connected to the internet, as OneDrive requires an active internet connection to sync files.
    5. Sign In Again: Sometimes, signing out and then signing back into your OneDrive account can resolve authentication issues that may be causing the error.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consult the Microsoft support resources for more detailed troubleshooting steps specific to your situation.
