This is NOT helpful. I already went to support and they cannot help me. I am not able to edit age at all, and this is ridiculous that I have gone back and forth with this and in circles with NO solution. I expect someone to contact me or provide me with the verify my age link which I ALSO have not received or been able to attain since the support team seems to think its so easy to edit in the Family Center and let me assure you it is not.

To resolve the issue of your Microsoft account being incorrectly categorized as a child account, you will need to follow these steps:

    1. Access the Family Safety Settings: Go to the Microsoft Family Safety website at https://account.live.com/mykids.aspx. Here, you can manage family settings and permissions.
    2. Remove Supervision: If your account is linked to a family group where you are being supervised, you may need to remove the supervision. This can typically be done by the family organizer.
    3. Change Age Information: If you are the account owner and your age is incorrectly set, you may need to update your profile information. This usually involves verifying your identity and confirming your age.
    4. Contact Support Again: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support again for further assistance. Make sure to explain your situation clearly, including that you are the account owner and need to change the age verification.
    5. Use Different Browsers/Networks: Sometimes, using a different browser or network can help in accessing account settings that may be blocked or malfunctioning.

If you continue to experience issues, it may be beneficial to check for any updates or guidance on the Microsoft support pages related to account recovery and management.
