I have Office Home & Business 2021 for Mac.

It is currently activated and working on my old MacBook Pro.

I can see the License ID (CCW_…), Device ID, and Session ID in Word → About Word.

The license is not attached to my Microsoft account (******@gmail.com) after migrating to a new Mac.

I need this Office 2021 license reattached to my Microsoft account so I can reinstall it.

When I go to my Microsoft account I do not see the suite in purchase history and I do not have a product key. I know it works on my old MacBook. can you help me with the migration

    Hello,

One thing to clarify is that the Purchase History section often only shows items bought directly from the Microsoft Store, while retail licenses show up under a specific Services & Subscriptions tab.

Have you checked that specific tab on the account dashboard yet?

If the license is not there, it is almost certain that a different Microsoft account was used to redeem the code initially, as these licenses are permanently bound to the original account and cannot be moved or detached.

Do you have any other email addresses you might have used when you first set up Office on the old MacBook?

To migrate your Office Home & Business 2021 for Mac to your new MacBook, you can follow these steps:

    1. Uninstall Office from your old Mac: Before you install Office on your new Mac, it's a good idea to uninstall it from your old MacBook. You can do this by going to Finder > Applications, selecting all Microsoft Office applications, and moving them to Trash.
    2. Reinstall Office on your new Mac: Sign in to your Microsoft account on your new Mac. If your Office 2021 license is not linked to your Microsoft account, you may need to reinstall Office using the installation files or from the Microsoft account dashboard if available.
    3. Check Activation: After installation, open any Office application (like Word) and check if it prompts you to activate. If it does, follow the on-screen instructions to activate Office. Since you mentioned that the license is not attached to your Microsoft account, you may need to contact Microsoft support to link your existing license to your account.
    4. Contact Microsoft Support: If you cannot find your license in your Microsoft account and do not have a product key, it's best to reach out to Microsoft support for assistance. They can help you retrieve your license information and link it to your account.

Make sure to have your License ID and Device ID handy when contacting support, as they may require this information to assist you effectively.
