Why does Microslop make me complete Windows 11 Setup steps that I have chosen to skip three times now?

Microslop keeps shoving these prompts in my face when I start MY computer. I have already chosen to skip mobile setup, and tailored experiences, and Microsoft 365. I DO NOT WANT THIS SLOP ON MY PC! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL MICROSLOP THAT I DON'T WANT THEIR SUGGESTIONS OF WHAT TO INSTALL ON MY COMPUTER.

I get how annoying this is—especially when you’ve already skipped these steps and Windows keeps asking again. Those repeated prompts for mobile setup, tailored experiences, or Microsoft 365 usually mean Windows didn’t properly save your choices, or a recent update quietly turned some defaults back on.

Here are a few things you can try:

Go through the setup one last time if it appears, then turn off anything you don’t want afterward in Settings → Privacy & Security.

Check that Tailored experiences and similar options stay turned off even after restarting your PC.

Run Windows Update and install the latest cumulative (and optional) updates—Microsoft often fixes this kind of behavior silently in updates.

If it still keeps happening, the issue may be with a corrupted setup state. Creating a new local user profile can reset that experience. As a last option, a fresh reinstall of Windows 11 will completely clear those setup flags and stop the prompts for good.
