My account is marked as a child even though I'm 18. My date of birth, country/region is marked correctly. My father, who at some point used Microsoft Family Safety, logged into his account only to find that I was not in the family. Because of this he cannot give me "consent" to anything.

    Hi,

Are you right now in a Family group?

If you go to https://account.live.com/mykids.aspx page, do you see an option for removing consent?

I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.

If your account is still marked as a child despite being over 18 and having the correct date of birth, it may be due to the account being linked to a family group that has not been updated. Since your father cannot give consent because you are not in the family group, you may need to remove any existing family link or request a review of your account status.

You can try the following steps:

    1. Check your account settings on the Microsoft account website to ensure that your age is correctly reflected.
    2. If you have access to your father's account, he can check the family settings to see if you can be added back to the family group.
    3. If issues persist, consider contacting Microsoft support for assistance in updating your account status.

This should help resolve the issue of your account being incorrectly classified as a child account.
