I tried troubleshooting, but nothing has worked. I cannot get any audio to play from my computer. I reinstalled and updated my audio driver, restarted my computer, checked my speaker settings, but nothing has worked. I have Realtek(R) speakers.

You can visit your device manufacturer's website to download audio drivers for your system model.

Try uninstalling existing drivers and then reinstall the driver downloaded from device manufacturer's website.

Run Playing Audio troubleshooter from Settings app > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Let us know what it reports back.

    Hi, good day!

    • When was the last time it worked properly?
    • Have you made any changes to your computer recently?
    • What is the exact make and model of your computer? Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: msinfo32

    Press Enter

Please take a screenshot of the System Information window and post it in your next response. Note: Don't include any personal information or sensitive data as Microsoft Q&A is a public forum.

If the internal speaker is missing, the driver may be corrupted.

    Open Device Manager

Expand Sound, video and game controllers.

Right-click your audio device (e.g. Realtek Audio, Intel Smart Sound, Conexant, etc.)

    Click Uninstall device.

Tick "Attempt to remove the driver for this device" box

    Restart your computer.

Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

If this does not work, it would be best to visit your manufacturer's support page to download and install the latest Audio driver for your device.

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed by clicking "Add comment" below.

To fix the issue of no audio device on your computer, you can try the following steps:

    1. Update Audio Drivers: Go to Device Manager, find your audio device (likely Realtek), right-click it, and select "Update driver". Choose the option to search automatically for updated driver software.
    2. Set Correct Playback Device: Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar, select "Open Sound settings", and ensure your Realtek speakers are selected as the output device.
    3. Run Windows Troubleshooter: Navigate to Settings > System > Sound, and under the "Output" section, click on "Troubleshoot" to run the audio troubleshooter.
    4. Check for Windows Updates: Sometimes, audio issues can be resolved through cumulative updates. Make sure your Windows is up to date.
    5. BIOS/Firmware Check: Ensure your BIOS is updated, as audio initialization may depend on firmware. Check the LG support downloads for any updates.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may indicate a hardware problem, and you should consider contacting support for further diagnostics.
