I have paid my subscription but my word documents are locked.

Question

My subscription is paid but I can't access my documents ie can't edit or save. Can you please unlock. I have a recurring subscription and does not expire until April 2026.

To fix this, please try signing out of all Office apps on your Mac, then sign back in using the same Microsoft account that’s linked to your subscription.

If the message still appears, I suggest uninstalling Office completely, then reinstalling it from your Microsoft account services page to make sure it’s properly linked:

Then, to reinstall Microsoft Office:
