can't find subscription

I have a subscription but for some reason Microsoft can't find it. I paid for it in December 2025 and I've been using it till yesterday when Microsoft updated. Word tells me to activate it so I have to sign in again and then I can't find my subscription. I've spent 2 days trying to work it out and every trouble shooting suggestion hasn't worked and then I'm instructed to pay for another subscription. I shouldn't have to spend 2 days trying to trouble shoot and trying to find a contact for help.

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with your Microsoft 365 subscription not being recognized after a recent update. This can happen for several reasons, including account sign-in issues or problems with the subscription itself.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check which Microsoft 365 business product or license you have: Make sure you are signed in with the correct account that has the subscription associated with it. If you're using a Work or School account, verify that a license is assigned to you. You may need to contact your Microsoft 365 administrator for assistance.
    2. Verify the status of the service health: Check the Microsoft 365 admin center to see if there are any ongoing service issues that might be affecting your subscription.
    3. Sign in with the correct account: Ensure that you are signing in with the Microsoft Account (MSA) that is linked to your subscription. If you have multiple accounts, you might be using the wrong one.
    4. Reactivate your subscription: If your subscription has expired or is inactive, you may need to reactivate it through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They can help you troubleshoot the problem more effectively.
