I am facing an issue while trying to use Azure Language Studio for Question Answering.

Details:

  • I have an active Azure subscription.
  • I created an Azure AI Language resource (Free tier – F0).
  • I am logged in successfully to Azure Portal.
  • When I click “Get started with Language Studio” from my Language resource, it redirects me repeatedly to the Language Studio home or sign-in page.

Because of this, I am unable to:

  • Access Question Answering
  • Create a Q&A project
  • Add questions and answers

I have already tried:

  • Logging in again
  • Using Incognito mode
  • Opening Language Studio from Azure Portal
  • Selecting correct subscription and resource

Please help me resolve this issue and access Language Studio with my existing Language resource.

    Hi Jaywant Room,

Thank you for reaching out on the Microsoft Q&A.

This behavior is something a few folks have hit recently, and you’re not missing an obvious configuration step.

From what’s described the redirect loop back to the Language Studio home/sign‑in page usually isn’t caused by the Language resource being inactive. In the thread, the Language resource is created successfully and visible in the Azure portal, but Language Studio itself never finishes binding to it.

A couple of points that may help clarify what’s going on:

    • Being signed into the Azure portal isn’t enough on its own. Language Studio uses a separate web experience and sometimes gets stuck if there are multiple Microsoft identities active in the same browser session. This matches reports where users are authenticated but still redirected repeatedly.
    • Free tier (F0) Language resources are supported, so the issue isn’t that the SKU is unsupported for Question Answering. The resource is valid, but the Studio UI can still fail to attach to it.
    • At the moment, there’s no additional “log stream” or diagnostic view in Language Studio that explains the redirect loop. If the browser-side troubleshooting (cache clear, private window, single-account sign-in) doesn’t resolve it, there isn’t much visibility available from the portal side alone.

If the problem persists after trying a clean sign-in with only the Azure subscription account, the recommended next step is to open an Azure support request and reference that Language Studio cannot complete sign-in/binding for an existing Language resource. This is consistent with how similar cases have been handled when the UI gets stuck and self‑service steps don’t resolve it.

    Reference List:

Hopefully this helps confirm you’re not overlooking a hidden setting this appears to be a studio access issue rather than a misconfigured Language resource. Do let me know if you have any further queries.

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with accessing Azure Language Studio. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try based on common solutions for sign-in issues:

    1. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies: Sometimes, cached data can cause issues. Make sure to clear your browser's cache and cookies. You can follow these steps:
      • Edge: Open Settings, select Privacy and Services, and clear browsing data.
      • Chrome: Go to Settings and select Clear browsing data under Privacy and Security.
    2. Try Different Browsers: If you haven't already, try accessing Language Studio using a different web browser to see if the issue persists.
    3. Check Subscription and Resource: Ensure that you are selecting the correct Azure subscription and that your Language resource is active and properly configured.
    4. Sign Out of All Microsoft Accounts: Sometimes, being signed into multiple Microsoft accounts can cause conflicts. Sign out of all accounts and then sign back in with the account associated with your Azure subscription.
    5. Use Private Browsing Mode: Since you've already tried Incognito mode, ensure that you are not logged into any other Microsoft services that might interfere with the sign-in process.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to reach out to Azure support for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance based on your account and setup.
