    Hello @NLord

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Even though your tasks run from 1.10.2025 to 30.06.2026, the timeline shows only 2025 because Microsoft Project is using “Fiscal Year numbering” instead of calendar year numbering.

To turn off “Use Fiscal Year” option, kindly follow these steps:

    1. Click View > Timescale
    2. In the Preview box, check the “Use fiscal year box” to base the timescale on fiscal years.

For more detailed information, you can refer to: Change the timescale in a Project view in Project desktop - Microsoft Support

In Microsoft Project, if the timeline is showing the wrong year, it may be due to how fiscal dates are calculated or displayed. For instance, if the fiscal year is set to start in a month other than January, and that month is before the current month, the current date may appear incorrect. This can result in the timeline displaying dates that seem to jump ahead by one year, as the current date becomes a fiscal date based on the settings in Microsoft Project.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can check the fiscal year settings in your project and ensure they are configured correctly. Additionally, verify if there are any specific date settings or filters applied to the timeline view that might affect how dates are displayed.

If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance, as there may be specific bugs or updates related to your version of Project Pro 2021 that need to be addressed.
