For months on end I've always been encountering this error "0x800704cf" whenever I try to sign into Microsoft Store, Xbox (PC), and try to log into my Microsoft account via Windows as well. I've tried about 10 solutions online yet I still can't fix it...Screenshot 2025-10-30 152622

    Hello Nathan Maguire,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

May I know if you have had the chance to check the other reply yet. Updating Windows to the latest version could help with many issues, so I highly suggest you do it first.

Before we proceed further, may I know all the steps you've tried so far to help you better?

In the meantime, you can try disabling IPv6 if it is enabled.

    • Type "Control Panel" in the search bar and press Enter.
    • Go to Network and Internet > Network and sharing Center > Select the Connection you are using > Properties.
    • Uncheck IPv6 if it is checked,
    • Select "Apply" and OK.
    • Restart your computer.

Hello. Do you see the icon on the lower right of your screen?

The blue icon notifies you that there's a new feature update available.

I Took your screenshot and pointed out the update icon.
