I'm currently having some issues with my headphones, the ZenHybrid Pro, when connecting to my laptop. Every now and then when I connect my headphones, any audio or videos I've been playing would suddenly pause and would not resume playing while they are connected. I've tried updating drivers and restarting my computer but nothing's working. I do not experience this issue when connecting the headphones to any other devices. This issue used to come on and off for about a week at a time, but now it hasn't gone away after about a month. How should I fix this issue?

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please clarify the following:

    • When you plug in your headphones, does the video/music actually pause on the screen, or does only the sound stop?
    • Do your headphones have a standard audio connector (Jack connector) or USB connector, or are they connected via Bluetooth?

Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    I await your reply.

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with your headphones not functioning properly when connected to your laptop. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Audio Endpoints: Ensure that your headphones are recognized as an audio endpoint. You can do this by opening the sound control panel (type mmsys.cpl in the command prompt) and checking if your headphones appear under the playback devices. Make sure to enable "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices" to see if they are listed.
    2. Driver Reinstallation: Since you've already tried updating the drivers, you might want to uninstall the audio device driver and then reinstall it. You can do this through Device Manager by right-clicking on your audio device and selecting "Uninstall Device." After uninstalling, restart your computer, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
    3. Different USB Port: If your headphones are USB-connected, try connecting them to a different USB port. Sometimes, issues can arise from specific ports.
    4. Check for Conflicts: Ensure that no other audio devices are interfering with the headphone connection. Disconnect any other audio devices and see if the issue persists.
    5. Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows is up to date, as updates can sometimes resolve compatibility issues with audio devices.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it might be worth checking for any specific compatibility issues with your laptop model and the ZenHybrid Pro headphones.
