Applying a new subsciption to my current MS 365 account

I have an annual Microsoft 365 Family subscription which is expiring in a few days. As such, I have purchased another Microsoft 365 annual Family from Microsoft and need to know how to apply the subscription that I just purchased to my current account. I don’t need to download the software.

If you purchased the new subscription directly from Microsoft, did you use the same Microsoft account as you previously used for the old subscription, if so, log into your Microsoft account on this link, and check the expiry date on your Microsoft 365 subscription it should have been extended by 12 months after that purchase.
