If pressing the F1 key does not disable Mute, try pressing Fn + F1.

If that works, try pressing Fn + Esc to disable the function lock on your keyboard.

Also, click the audio icon on your Taskbar at the bottom of the Desktop, if there is an X on the icon on the left of the audio slider, if you click that icon, does that un-mute your audio?

If that does not un-mute your audio, right click your Start Button and open Device Manager.

Expand the 'Sound, Video and Game Controllers' section.

Please provide a screenshot of that full Device Manager window.

If the F1 mute button on your Lenovo laptop is stuck in the "on" position and your headset is not working, here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Check for Physical Mute Switch: Some laptops have a physical mute switch or button. Ensure that it is not engaged.
    2. Keyboard Functionality: Try pressing the F1 key again while holding down the Fn key (if your laptop requires it) to toggle the mute function.
    3. Volume Mixer: Right-click the sound icon in the system tray and select "Open Volume Mixer". Ensure that the volume is not muted for your headset.
    4. Device Manager: Open Device Manager and check if your audio drivers are installed correctly. You can try updating or reinstalling the audio drivers.
    5. Troubleshoot Audio: Go to Settings > System > Sound and run the audio troubleshooter to identify and fix issues.
    6. Restart the Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to consult Lenovo support or check the laptop's user manual for further troubleshooting specific to your model.
