I need help. Ok, I was wrong. I get a lot of spam and I'm dumb enough to sometimes take it way too personally. Recently, I get spam and click unsubscribe and get a "submit compliance review," which basically means you forward the spam back to them. Two or three times I would cut and paste that email in the BCC and the CC lines 5 or 6 times. Like a moron, I was trying to make those spammers angry. I was wrong and now my account is locked. It asks for a cell number to get a code, but it won't let me do that option. "Cannot do that" or something pops up. I use the online verification thing where you type in subject lines and emails you have written to and even that does not work. Plus, I am locked out of that for using it multiple times. So, I guess there is no hope, right? I have even chatter with Microsoft and sent in a support ticket and/or form. Don't remember how I got to that form, but I did. I need that email address because I am waiting for payment info that will only come to that specific address. And no, I can't write to those companies and give them new contact info. So, because of this account blocking, I will lose out on payments. This is aggravating because Microsoft has no credible contact info, nor do they have chat people who can actually do the job. It would help if, in future, their blocking on outlook actually worked. Some of that spam comes from a domain called firebase. I think that's it. I want to block that. I type it in rules and it seems to go through, but the very next day, more of that spam trash. I am right now signed in with a different email. I never used it until today. If there is a reply from someone with the answer, I hope I will see it there. I need those payments. And my doctor talks to me via email. Appointment reminders, etc. Ok, I was wrong to try and piss off spammers, but what else can you do? That garbage multiplies like rats. I like it when I get 3 or 4 a day, not 2 and three every 10 minutes, over and over about winning a Costco gift box and all that trash.

Hi! Sorry to hear about this. If the error message says your account is locked, please use the Account Reinstatement form here (this is different from the standard Account Recovery Form):

    https://www.microsoft.com/digitalsafety/account-reinstatement

After you submit the form, make sure you monitor the email address you provided (including Junk/Spam) for Microsoft’s response.

It sounds like you're facing a challenging situation with your locked Microsoft account. Here are some steps you can take to try to regain access:

    1. Wait for Lockout Period: If you've been locked out due to multiple incorrect attempts, there may be a temporary lockout period. It's advisable to wait for a while before trying to access your account again.
    2. Use Account Recovery Options: Since you mentioned that the online verification isn't working, ensure that you are using the correct recovery options. If you have access to any alternate email addresses or phone numbers associated with your account, try using those for recovery.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: Since you've already submitted a support ticket, continue to follow up with Microsoft Support. They may have additional tools to help verify your identity and assist you in regaining access.
    4. Avoid Spam Interaction: In the future, refrain from interacting with spam emails. Instead of clicking unsubscribe, mark them as spam directly in your email client to help filter them out.
    5. Check for Security Issues: If you suspect that your account may have been compromised, ensure that you run antivirus scans on your devices and consider changing your password once you regain access.
    6. Create a New Account: If you cannot regain access and need to receive important emails, consider creating a new email account for urgent communications while you work on recovering your original account.

Unfortunately, if the automated systems are not allowing you to proceed with recovery, it may take some persistence to resolve the issue. Keep trying to reach out to Microsoft Support for assistance.
