stopped receiving emails in my outlook account when I changed my password

I can't send or receive emails in my outlook account. How can I fix this?

    Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I know it’s frustrating when Outlook suddenly stops sending or receiving emails after a password change.

    Please try the following steps:

    1. Check if the account can send/receive mail on the web

    • Sign in to Outlook on the web in a browser and send yourself a test message.
    • If email works on the web but not in the iOS app, the issue is likely local to the app.

    2. Make sure Background App Refresh is enabled

    On your iPhone: Settings > General > Background App Refresh > On, then ensure Outlook is also enabled.

    3. Update Outlook for iOS

    • Go to the App Store > search Outlook > Update (if available)
    • Restart the app

    4. Reset the Outlook mobile app

    • Go to Outlook app on your phone
    • Tap your profile icon (top-left) > Settings > Accounts > Choose your account
    • Scroll down and select Reset Account
    • Sign back in and test again.

    5. Remove and re-add the account

    • In the same place, tap Remove account
    • Close the app completely, then reopen Outlook.
    • Tap Add account, and sign in again.

    Note: Your emails are stored on Microsoft’s servers, so removing the account from the app and adding it back doesn’t erase your mailbox. You may only lose any unsent drafts saved locally in the app (like unsent drafts), everything will sync back after signing in again.

    6. Delete then reinstall the Outlook app: Again, this does not delete the emails on the server.

    If I delete my outlook account and re-add it, will I loose all my saved emails
