Hi,

I have a really old outlook account which was based on msn.com. I was not actively using my email and logging in mostly in private windows. Recently when I tried to login, outlook wanted to verify with my recovery email. But I lost my recovery email because they no longer supported email service. I still have my password and try to login but they are making me fill a form which is asking some emails that I wrote. But point is I only used it for signing in for websites, not for emailing other people. I filled the form like 5 times but they are still rejecting it. I can give some crazy details about the account but there is no option in the form. I really need to talk to a person to prove that I am the owner of the account from 2006. I hope someone from microsoft gets in contact with me or someone gives a hint.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Kamil Grosovic,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A.

I understand that you want to prove that you are the owner of your old 2006 MSN account.

Please kindly note that this is a public user‑to‑user forum, and I do not have the tools or authorization to unblock accounts, recover accounts, or bypass security measures.

To proceed, please try using the Account Recovery Form (ACSR) via https://account.live.com/acsr

When completing the form, please make sure to:

    • Use an email address you currently have access to as the contact email
    • Provide as many accurate details as possible, such as old passwords, frequent contacts/subject lines and submit from a familiar device/location.
    • Wait 24–72 hours for a response. You may refine and resubmit up to twice per day.
    • Please refer to this link if you need help with the recovery form: Help with the Microsoft account recovery form- Microsoft Support

    Contact Support Team directly

If you are unable to complete the Account Recovery Form or are experiencing issues with it, please reach out directly to the Microsoft Support team. It may offer live chat and, depending on your subscription/region, an option to request a callback:

    • Go to Contact - Microsoft Support
    • Type a brief description of your issue in the search box
    • Click "Get Help", then scroll to the bottom and select "Contact Support”.
    • When prompted to select Products & Services and Category, choose the appropriate categories.
    • Look for and select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" (during business hours) or a similar callback option (if available). Explain your situation clearly.

Thank you for your understanding. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.

To contact Microsoft support regarding your Outlook account, you can follow these steps:

    1. Visit the Microsoft Support Page: Go to the official Microsoft support website where you can find options to get help.
    2. Use the "Get Help" Feature: In the search bar, type "Get Help" and open it. Then, type "Chat with an agent" and press Enter.
    3. Contact Support: Click the "Contact support" button at the bottom. Choose the product and service related to your issue, which in this case is Outlook.
    4. Follow the Prompts: Follow the on-screen prompts to connect with a live agent. You may also have the option to request a callback.

If you still have issues with the recovery form, be persistent and provide as much detailed information as possible about your account when speaking with support. This can help verify your identity and assist in recovering your account.
