How to change a name of my Game/app (Can't delete Old App Name)

Hi,

We are reaching out regarding an issue with our app name following a recent name infringement notice.

We have already prepared a new build with a new app name, logo, and updated assets. The new name of our game has been successfully reserved and all changes are ready on our side.

However, we are currently unable to delete the old app name in Partner Center. The system indicates that the name is still “in use” and requires removing all references in the Store Listing first. We have attempted to delete all existing store listings, but Partner Center does not allow us to remove them completely.

As a result, we are blocked from switching to the new name and uploading the updated build.

We would kindly ask for your assistance with the following:

• Removing or releasing the old app name from our account
• Advising on the correct procedure to fully remove all references, so we can proceed with the rename.

To change the name of your game/app in Partner Center, you need to ensure that all references to the old app name are removed from the Store Listing. Here are the steps you should follow:

1. Update Store Listing: Go to the Store listing page for your app and ensure that you have updated all mentions of the old name in the description and other relevant sections. Make sure to select the new name from the Product name dropdown.
2. Check for Multiple Languages: If your app has packages and/or Store listings in multiple languages, you need to update the listings for each language where the old name is referenced.
3. Delete Old App Name: Once you have confirmed that all references to the old name are removed and the new name is set in the Store Listing, you can proceed to delete the old app name. Navigate to the Manage app names page and find the name you wish to delete, then click Delete and confirm the action.
