    Hi Colleen Taylor

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum and sharing your experience.

    • Since this question is tagged "For education", could you please confirm whether you are signing in with a school account or a personal Microsoft account?

If you are using a school account, device management may be controlled by your school’s IT administrator, and the option to remove the device may not be available from the account page.

If you are using a personal Microsoft account, the old device can be removed directly from the Microsoft account Devices page. Please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices using the same account associated with your Microsoft 365 subscription. Once signed in, locate the old MacBook Air in the list of devices, select Remove device, and confirm when prompted. This will unlink the old device from your account and does not affect your Microsoft 365 subscription or any files stored in OneDrive. For additional reference, you can review Microsoft’s official guidance here: Remove a device from your Microsoft account

Please let me know how things go on your side as your update can also assist others in the community who may be facing the same issue.

To delete an old computer from your Microsoft Office account, you typically need to manage your devices through your Microsoft account settings. Here are the general steps you can follow:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account: Go to the Microsoft account website and log in with the credentials associated with your Office subscription.
    2. Navigate to Devices: Look for a section related to devices or security. This is where you can manage the devices linked to your account.
    3. Find the old device: Locate your old MacBook Air in the list of devices.
    4. Remove the device: Follow the prompts to remove or unlink the old device from your account.

This process may vary slightly depending on updates to the Microsoft account interface, but generally, these steps should help you remove your old MacBook Air from your Office account.
