- Since this question is tagged "For education", could you please confirm whether you are signing in with a school account or a personal Microsoft account?
If you are using a school account, device management may be controlled by your school’s IT administrator, and the option to remove the device may not be available from the account page.
If you are using a personal Microsoft account, the old device can be removed directly from the Microsoft account Devices page. Please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices using the same account associated with your Microsoft 365 subscription. Once signed in, locate the old MacBook Air in the list of devices, select Remove device, and confirm when prompted. This will unlink the old device from your account and does not affect your Microsoft 365 subscription or any files stored in OneDrive.
