My account has been hacked. As a result, i do not longer have access to the old hotmail account. I had to start a new hotmail/outlook account and also another 365family. I cannot invite my son as he is still in the old family acocunt and I cannot access that one anymore.

How do I repair this? Thanks, Willem

To move your child from an old family account to a new family account when you no longer have access to the old Hotmail account, you will need to follow these steps:

    1. Recover the Old Account: Attempt to recover your old Hotmail account using the Microsoft account recovery process. You can visit the Microsoft account recovery page and follow the prompts. If you can regain access, you can then manage the family settings from there.
    2. Create a New Family Group: If recovery is unsuccessful, you can create a new family group in your new Microsoft account. You will need to invite your child to this new family group.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: If you are unable to invite your child due to the old account being inaccessible, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for assistance. They may have additional tools to help you manage the family account situation.
    4. Inform Your Child: If your child is old enough, inform them about the situation and guide them on how to accept the invitation to the new family account once you have created it.
    5. Monitor for Security Issues: Since your old account was hacked, ensure that your new account is secure. Enable two-factor authentication and regularly monitor for any suspicious activity.

These steps should help you transition your child to the new family account despite the challenges posed by the hacked old account.
