I have a licensed version of Microsoft Office 2021 Professional Plus installed on my PC. When I try to uninstall it, I consistently receive error 30045-44(1). I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

• Quick Repair and Online Repair: The Quick Repair completes successfully, but the issue persists.

• PC Restart: No change after rebooting.

• Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA): The tool was unable to resolve the problem.

• Official Microsoft Manual Uninstall tools: Followed instructions on the Microsoft website, but the uninstallation was unsuccessful (After following this process, it seems that some components were indeed uninstalled because I can no longer open Excel files. However, 'Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2021' is still listed in my installed programs, and I am still getting error 30045-44(1) when I try to remove it).

How can I resolve this? I need to perform a clean uninstallation so I can install a newer version of MS Office.

    Hi,

Office Professional Plus is a corporate product available by corporate licenses only and not available for home users (legally). So please ask your company system administrator for the help because some corporate limitations may be applied.

To resolve the error 30045-44(1) when trying to uninstall Microsoft Office 2021 Professional Plus, you can try the following steps:

    1. Use the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA): Since you've already tried this tool, ensure that you are using the latest version. Sometimes, updating the tool can help resolve issues.
    2. Run the Office Uninstall Tool: If the manual uninstall methods did not work, you can use the official Microsoft Office Uninstall Tool. This tool is designed to remove Office completely from your system. You can find it on the Microsoft support website.
    3. Check for Pending Windows Updates: Sometimes, pending updates can interfere with software installations and uninstallations. Make sure your Windows is fully updated.
    4. Use an Elevated Command Prompt: You can try uninstalling Office using command line commands. Open an elevated Command Prompt (Run as Administrator) and execute the following command:
         SaRAcmd.exe -S OfficeScrubScenario -AcceptEula

This command will attempt to uninstall Office.
    5. Registry Cleanup: If you are comfortable with it, you can check the Windows Registry for any remaining Office entries that might be causing issues. However, be cautious when editing the registry as it can affect your system stability.
    6. Contact Microsoft Support: If none of the above steps work, it may be best to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your situation.

By following these steps, you should be able to perform a clean uninstallation of Office 2021 Professional Plus and resolve the error you're encountering.
