If you download an attachment to your hard drive, then can you open it via Adobe Reader? Similarly, with Word attachments, try opening them in Word, via File > Open > Browse.

If you are saying that the attachments are completely blocked, the problem may be the settings in your antivirus software or firewall.

If you are unable to open PDF attachments in your emails, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some potential causes and resolutions:

    1. Blocked File Types: Outlook may block certain file types by default, including some PDF files. You can check if the attachment type is blocked by reviewing the blocked file types in Outlook on the web. If necessary, you may need to change the mailbox policy to allow specific file types.
    2. Antivirus Interference: Sometimes, antivirus software can interfere with opening attachments. If you have antivirus software installed, consider temporarily disabling it to see if that resolves the issue. If it does, you may need to adjust the settings of your antivirus program.
    3. Double-Click Speed Setting: If you are using Outlook and cannot open attachments by double-clicking, it might be due to the double-click speed setting of your mouse being too fast. You can adjust this setting in the Control Panel under the Mouse settings.
    4. Corrupted Attachments: If attachments are getting corrupted, it could be due to issues with your email client or the way the attachments are being sent. Ensure that your email client is up to date and consider trying to open attachments from a different email client or web browser.

If you have already checked with Adobe support and the issue persists, you might want to explore these potential solutions further.
