    Dear khaled ghozy

Thank you for your question and for sharing the details into Microsoft Q&A Forum.

I’m sorry to hear you’re unable to see your original administrator account at the Windows 11 sign-in screen, I understand how disruptive this can be when you need to access your device.

At this point, I recommend that you review and try the steps provided in both the AI generated answer and the Independent Advisor’s answer on your thread. Those replies typically include the most relevant checks for Windows 11 sign-in/account visibility scenarios, and the steps are well-structured and worth applying on your device.

If possible, please share the following details:

    • Are you trying to recover the built-in “Administrator” account, or a different user account that has administrator privileges?
    • On the sign-in screen, do you see “Other user” / “Switch user”?
    • Any exact error text (or a screenshot with personal info hidden)

In the meantime, please try the quick checks below

    1. If you can still sign in to any user

    • Open Command Prompt and run it as administrator.
    • (Optional but helpful) Run: net user to list local accounts.
    • Run: net user "Administrator" /active:yes
    • Sign out and check if Administrator appears on the sign‑in screen.

Sign out and check if Administrator appears on the sign-in screen.

    2. If you cannot sign in

    • Hold Shift while Restart > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command Prompt
    • Run: net user "Administrator" /active:yes
    • Restart and check if Administrator appears.
    • If your the built‑in Administrator account was renamed, the account name may not be exactly “Administrator”. In that case, net user can help confirm the correct local account name.

After you can enable it, please disable it again: net user "Administrator" /active:no

While our initial response may not fully resolve the issue, we truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.

I hope these steps help the Administrator account appear again on your Windows 11 sign-in screen and allow you to regain access smoothly. Wishing you a straightforward sign-in experience and a quick return to using your device as expected.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

May I please know if you are signed in to a local account or a Microsoft account?

If you were previously using a local administrator account and then switched it to a Microsoft account, the local account is converted into a Microsoft account. As a result, the local account will no longer appear separately on the sign-in options page.

    Meanwhile,

    1. Click Windows + R key, type Netplwiz and click Ok.
    2. Under _Users for this computer window, see if you have the Administrator account that you have used on the PC to sign in.

If you are unable to find your administrator account when signing in, it may be due to several reasons. Here are some steps you can take to retrieve your account:

    1. Verify Credentials: Ensure that you are using the correct email address associated with your administrator account. Sometimes, users may confuse personal and work accounts that look similar.
    2. Contact Support: If you are the only global admin on the account, you should reach out to the Azure Data Protection team for assistance. They have the tools and processes to help verify your identity and regain access to your administrator account.
    3. Check with Colleagues: If your organization has other global admins, contact them to see if they can assist you in recovering your account.
    4. Use Alternative Sign-in Methods: If you have set up alternative sign-in methods, try using those to access your account.
    5. Emergency Access Account: Consider creating an emergency access account (break-glass account) in Microsoft Entra to prevent future lockouts.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, you may need to provide more details to support for further assistance.
