Would a new version of Word for Mac fix the formatting and saving issues I've had ever since installing Tahoe 26.2 on my MacBook Pro? Word worked beautifully, now it's a royal mess.

Confirm that Office is fully updated. The current version should be 16.105.3 or later depending on which update channel you use.

Perhaps someone can offer additional assistance if you provide a clear & accurate description of whay hoey is intended to convey. Supporting it with screenshots would be helpful as would a shared sample document illustrating the issues.

Upgrading to Tahoe seems to be wrecking Office installations more often than usual. Please try uninstalling following these steps: Uninstall Office for Mac. Then reinstall from the Subscriptions page of your Microsoft account.
