Since installing Tahoe 26.2 on my MacBook Pro, formatting and saving and much else on Word for Mac has gone hooey--I'm writing a novel and have lost two days trying to work with it.

Would a new version of Word for Mac fix the formatting and saving issues I've had ever since installing Tahoe 26.2 on my MacBook Pro? Word worked beautifully, now it's a royal mess.

Upgrading to Tahoe seems to be wrecking Office installations more often than usual. Please try uninstalling following these steps: Uninstall Office for Mac. Then reinstall from the Subscriptions page of your Microsoft account.

It seems that the issues you're experiencing with formatting and saving in Word for Mac after installing Tahoe 26.2 could be related to compatibility problems between the two applications. While updating to a new version of Word for Mac might help resolve some of these issues, it is also advisable to check for updates for Tahoe and ensure that both applications are compatible with your current macOS version.

Additionally, if the problems persist, you might consider reaching out to Adobe Support, as they can provide specific guidance related to Tahoe and its interaction with Microsoft Office applications.
