Hi Dan Mac,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!
I know it’s annoying when a cordless mouse just won’t connect. The Q&A Assist has given the first troubleshooting steps, so I'll just share some suggestions based on your mouse's mode. Here's what to consider:
1 - If your Tecnet mouse uses a USB receiver
- Plug the USB nano‑receiver into your computer.
- Turn the mouse ON (switch usually on the bottom).
- Wait 5–10 seconds for Windows to install the driver.
- If it still doesn’t work, try plugging it in another USB port.
- You can also replace the mouse battery and try again.
2 - If your Tecnet mouse is fully Bluetooth
- Turn the mouse ON and press the pairing button until the LED blinks.
- On your Windows PC, open Settings > Bluetooth & devices
- Make sure Bluetooth is ON > Add device > Bluetooth:
- If you see the mouse in the list, select it.
- If you don't see it at all, the mouse is not pairing.
If possible, test adding other Bluetooth devices (e.g. your phone, your earbuds...) to see if your PC can find those. If nothing appears in the list, it often means the Bluetooth's drivers are corrupted. Let me know the results of the test, and whether your mouse has a USB dongle or is Bluetooth!
