OneNote "send copy of page" not working

I use OneNote on my ipad and use the 'send copy of page' button to upload notes.

I experienced the glitch in October/November 2025 where this feature stopped working but it was eventually resolved

Since around mid Jan this year, the 'send copy of page' feature has stopped working again. When I click it, the window shows for a brief moment and then disappears- like it started doing last year.

I've re downloaded the app and restarted the Ipad but it is still not working.

How can I fix this?

Thanks!

    Hi @Hilary,

Thank you for posting your question on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how frustrating it can be when a feature you regularly rely on suddenly stops working.

Following the OneNote update released around October 2025, many iPad users have reported similar behavior where tapping Share > Send Copy of Page either does nothing or briefly displays a window before disappearing. This appears to be a compatibility issue between recent OneNote builds and iPadOS. You may try the following:

    1. Update iPadOS and OneNote Please ensure both iPadOS and the OneNote app are updated to the latest available versions. Some users have reported improvement after updating to the latest version of iPadOS and OneNote version.
    2. Use OneNote on another device If you need to share a page urgently, try accessing your notebook from OneNote on a Windows PC, Mac, or even an iPhone, where the feature may still function correctly.
    3. Use OneNote for the web Open browser and visit https://www.onenote.com. From there, you may be able to copy, print, or export your page, although formatting may differ slightly.

It is noted that the above suggestions might not work as expected. Since this issue appears to be related to the OneNote update and is affecting multiple users, we recommend submitting feedback directly to Microsoft so it can be investigated and prioritized for a future fix: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback

I hope this information helps. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to let me know.

It seems you are experiencing issues with the "send copy of page" feature in OneNote on your iPad. While the specific cause of your issue isn't detailed in the provided context, there are a few general troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that both your iPad's operating system and the OneNote app are updated to the latest versions. Sometimes, bugs are fixed in newer updates.
    2. Reinstall the App: Since you've already re-downloaded the app, make sure to completely uninstall OneNote before reinstalling it. This can sometimes resolve persistent issues.
    3. Check Network Connection: Ensure that your iPad has a stable internet connection, as the feature may require internet access to function properly.
    4. Reset Settings: If the problem persists, consider resetting your iPad's settings. This won't delete your data but can resolve underlying issues affecting app performance.
    5. Contact Support: If none of these steps work, you may want to reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance, as they can provide more specific troubleshooting based on your account and device.

If the issue is related to device authentication or conditional access policies, as mentioned in other contexts, it may also be worth checking if any such policies are affecting your OneNote usage.
