I am a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and I have my MCP ID.

Unfortunately, I no longer remember the email address and password that were used to create my original Microsoft account. Because of this, I am unable to sign in to Microsoft Learn and access my certification history.

I would like assistance with recovering or linking my existing MCP certifications to a new or current Microsoft account that I can access.
Details I can provide if required:

  • MCP ID: 5657303
  • Full name used at the time of certification = Behnaz Pourbagheri Ziabari
  • Approximate year(s) of certification = Since 2007
  • I have physical MCP card as well

Please advise on the correct steps to recover my certification profile or migrate it to an active account. Thank you for your support.

To recover your Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) profile, you will need to regain access to your Microsoft account. Unfortunately, Microsoft Credentials Support cannot assist with recovery of personal Microsoft accounts or transfer contents of a Learn profile you are unable to access. Here are the steps you can take:

    1. Recover Your Microsoft Account: Try to recover your Microsoft account by following the instructions available on the Microsoft account recovery page. You can start by visiting the Microsoft Account Help for guidance on recovering your username or resetting your password.
    2. Contact Support: If you are unable to recover your account using the self-service options, you may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance. They may require information such as your MCP ID and other details to verify your identity.
    3. Keep Your MCP ID Handy: When reaching out for support, have your MCP ID (5657303) and any other relevant information ready, as it may help in verifying your identity and expediting the recovery process.
    4. Check for Alternate Accounts: If you have used any other email addresses or accounts in the past, try logging in with those as well. Sometimes users create multiple accounts without realizing it.
    5. Documentation: If you have a physical MCP card, it may serve as proof of your certification, which can be useful when contacting support.

Unfortunately, without access to your original Microsoft account, linking your certifications to a new account may not be possible until you regain access to the original account.
