Outlook keeps asking for password

Hi, my personal desktop Outlook has suddenly started asking me for my password. Initially, it would bring up my mailbox, then cut to a password screen. When I put in my password, it thinks about it, says it is setting things up and then sends me back to the password window. When I go into local app data, delete the Olk and OneAuth folder and restart my PC, it lets me open Outlook, but then, when I try to do anything, it asks for my password again! I am not having this issue on any of my other devices.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Which type of account is this, Microsoft 365, Outlook.com, or another provider?

I suggest removing old Outlook or Office entries in Windows Credential Manager, ensuring Windows and Office are fully updated, signing in with the correct password, and if your account uses two-factor authentication, creating and using an app password. After making these changes, restart Outlook.
