We are facing an issue while signing in to our Microsoft 365 Admin Portal. After changing the administrator password, the system is now showing “incorrect email ID or password”, and we are unable to log in despite entering the correct credentials.

Kindly assist us in resolving this issue or resetting the administrator credentials at the earliest, as this is affecting our email and administrative operations.

    Dear Jaydeep Singh

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please note that this platform is a community‑based forum, and moderators do not have access to your tenant, so we’re unable to reset administrator credentials or make any direct changes to your Microsoft 365 environment.

In situations like this, there are generally two possible paths:

If your organization has another Global/IT admin, please ask that admin to sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and continue troubleshooting from there. They can reset your password, verify the account status, check MFA, or review Azure AD sign‑in logs. This is typically the fastest resolution.

If the affected account is the only Global Admin in the tenant, the issue cannot be resolved through the forum. You will need to contact Microsoft Support so they can verify ownership of the tenant and assist with regaining access.

If you’re unable to open a support ticket from your tenant because you cannot sign in, you may create a temporary Microsoft 365 trial tenant, access its Admin Center, and submit a support ticket from there. Be sure to turn off AI Support Assistance if prompted so the case is routed to a real Microsoft support engineer, and include your original tenant details so Microsoft Support can help with recovery.

For detailed steps, please refer to the thread: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5698697/microsoft-365-tenant-locked-out-no-global-admin-ac

    Hope this information is helpful.
