A Microsoft app for iOS and Android devices that enables authentication with two-factor verification, phone sign-in, and code generation
To regain access to your account after losing access to the Microsoft Authenticator app, you have a couple of options:
- Contact Microsoft Data Protection Support: Since you mentioned that you have already cleared MFA settings in your organization, you should reach out to Microsoft’s Data Protection team. They have the necessary tools to verify your identity and help you regain access. You can find the customer service phone numbers for Microsoft Support in your region and request assistance.
- Create a Temporary Account: If you are unable to reach a live agent, you might consider signing up for a new trial tenant. This would allow you to access the admin console of the new tenant and submit a support ticket requesting to speak with the Data Protection team regarding your original account. Note that this will not give you access to any data from your original account but will serve as a means to contact support.
Make sure to provide them with all necessary details about your locked account, including your administrator email address and any error messages you are encountering.
