I have 4 main email accounts that are all set up on my iPhone and have been set up on my desktop Outlook system but as of Saturday, two of my email accounts on my desktop stopped updating / syncing. I can see emails on my iPhone but not on my desktop Outlook system.

If your emails are not updating in Outlook on your desktop but are visible on your iPhone, there are a few potential causes and solutions you can try:

    1. Cached Mode Issues: Sometimes, emails may not appear in the Cached mode Inbox even if they were synchronized from your mailbox. You can check if this is the case by switching to Online mode to see if the emails appear there.
    2. Item Processing Pipeline: Emails may get stuck in the incoming item processing pipeline. This can happen due to unexpected conflicts or corrupt data. To resolve this, you can start Outlook with the /cleanips switch:
      • Exit Outlook if it’s running.
      • Start Outlook using the command: Outlook.exe /cleanips.
      • Ensure you have at least Office 2007 Service Pack 2 installed for this to work.
    3. Clear Offline Items: If the above does not help, you can clear the offline items in your Inbox:
      • Right-click the Inbox folder and select Properties.
      • In the General tab, select Clear Offline Items.
      • After clearing, press Shift+F9 to force the resynchronization of your Inbox folder.
    4. Account Settings: Ensure that your email accounts are set up correctly in Outlook. If necessary, remove and re-add the accounts to refresh the settings.
    5. Check for Updates: Make sure that your Outlook application is up to date, as updates can fix bugs that may be causing syncing issues.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to check your internet connection or consult with your email service provider for further assistance.
