My camera is glitching (for some miliseconds it's on and then off) and i get 0xA00F42A0<SceneSwitchFailed> (0x80004005). I've tried to disable and uninstall the camera driver but it didn't work.

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please clarify the following:

    Do you use the device's built-in camera or an external camera?

    What message is displayed in the camera's Device Status in Device Manager when it is disabled?

    1. Press "Windows + X" and select "Device Manager";
    2. Click on the "View" menu and select "Show hidden devices";
    3. Expand "Cameras";
    4. If the camera is listed, right-click and select "Properties". Check if there is an error in "Device Status".

    If you prefer, share a screenshot. Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

    Maximize the window and use the screenshot tool.

    I await your reply.

    The error code 0xA00F42A0<SceneSwitchFailed> (0x80004005) typically indicates a problem with the camera's ability to switch scenes or capture images properly. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Check Camera Connections: Ensure that the camera is properly connected to your device. If it's an external camera, try reconnecting it or using a different USB port.
    2. Update Camera Drivers: Make sure that your camera drivers are up to date. You can do this by going to Device Manager, finding your camera under "Imaging devices," right-clicking it, and selecting "Update driver."
    3. Disable and Re-enable the Camera: Sometimes, disabling and then re-enabling the camera can help. You can do this from the Device Manager as well.
    4. Restart Your Device: A simple restart can sometimes resolve temporary glitches with hardware.
    5. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date, as updates can sometimes fix compatibility issues with hardware.
    6. Use the Troubleshoot Feature: You can use the built-in troubleshooter for cameras in Windows. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Camera and run the troubleshooter.

    If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to consult the manufacturer's support or consider hardware issues with the camera itself.
