I have had an M365 Business Standard subscription with [Moderator note: personal information removed] for years. I log in with [Moderator note: personal information removed]@smeijers.com and for management with [Moderator note: personal information removed]@smeijers.onmicrosoft.com.

Three employees have been unable to access their documents for more than five days now, so the damage is enormous and I am at my wits' end.

I beg you to restore access and if you have any questions, please call me at [Moderator note: personal information removed]

Grt.

    Dear @Ronald Smeijers,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A.

Thank you for taking the time to describe your situation, and I’m very sorry for the serious disruption this has caused for you and your employees.

From your message, I understand that your organization has been using a Microsoft 365 Business Standard tenant for years, but for the past five days you and your colleagues have been unable to access your documents.

Please note that Microsoft Q&A is a public community forum, and moderators here do not have access to your tenant, cannot view subscription details, and cannot restore access or make changes inside the environment. Issues involving loss of tenant access, subscription status, admin lockout, or service recovery must be handled directly by Microsoft Support, who have the necessary backend tools.

To make sure your tenant is checked as quickly as possible, please follow the appropriate support path below:

If you can still sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center>Support>Help & Support.

For reference:  Get support | Microsoft Docs

    User's image

This is the fastest way to receive assistance because the system automatically includes your tenant information.

If you cannot access the Admin Center at all, then you need to involve Microsoft data protection team. Please try to find the related hotline number to call the frontline let them raise a ticket for you: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

Stay on the line even if the IVR tries to redirect you back to the website and wait until you are connected to a real support agent. Once connected, provide the SIR number SIR and explain that the tenant is locked and needs ownership verification/unlock.

If your organization's Office 365 Business subscription is from a partner or reseller, and the global administrator is unable to open a service request on your end, contact the reseller's support provider to help open a service request on behalf of you instead.

If you still cannot reach to agent, there is still a workaround, you might consider registering for a new tenant by signing up for a trial subscription via this link Compare All Microsoft 365 Plans | Microsoft. This would allow you to create a new tenant following the provided prompts. Once set up, you can access the admin console of the new tenant and submit a support ticket requesting to speak with the Data Protection team on behalf of your previous tenant.

Please remember to cancel the trial subscription once your issue is resolved to avoid any unintended charges.

I understand that this entire process can feel long and complicated, and I truly appreciate your patience while working through it. These steps are in place to protect the security of your account, so I hope you can understand why they are required. I sincerely hope you’ll be able to regain access to your account soon. If you need help at any point, or if you have any questions during the process, please feel free to reach out, I’m always here and happy to assist.

Thank you again for your understanding and patience.

To regain access to your M365 Business Standard subscription with Smeijers Beheer, you may need to follow specific recovery steps. Since you mentioned that multiple employees are unable to access their documents, it’s crucial to address this issue promptly. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Contact Microsoft Support: Since you have an account security case ([Moderator note: personal information removed]), reaching out to Microsoft support directly can help expedite the resolution process. You can provide them with your case number for reference.
    2. Verify Admin Access: Ensure that you or someone in your organization has admin access to the tenant. If you are the only global admin and are facing issues, you may need to involve the Microsoft Data Protection team to verify your identity and regain access.
    3. Use the Admin Portal: If you can access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, check for any notifications or alerts regarding account issues. You can also attempt to reset passwords or manage user access from there.
    4. Trial Tenant Workaround: If you are unable to reach support through the usual channels, consider creating a trial Microsoft 365 tenant. This can allow you to log in to the Admin Center and submit a support ticket directly regarding your locked account.
    5. Documentation: Be prepared to provide any necessary documentation that verifies your identity and ownership of the tenant when contacting support.

Following these steps should help you restore access to your tenant and resolve the issues your employees are facing.
