First off: I am VERY frustrated, so please please do not take this personally. Every single time I have to deal with Microsoft licensing just is a complete nightmare to me.

I bought myself a new laptop and as I somehow need Office, I decided to BUY Office 2024. Foolishly I entered the license key into accounts.microsoft.com/somethingoranother whilst being logged in with my account that previously had an O365 license.

I cannot get this piece of .. software working with the account, I keep getting harassed for O365. I have a .. key, it's for Office 2024, I have it right here. But alas, that does not work, no matter what I try.

So.. I made a new account, hoping I could use my key there. Big nope! Transferring licenses is explained for all kinds of versions of Office, but not 2024. So I beg of you:

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE transfer the key I have in ******@voordewinst.nl to ******@timemoney.nl or do something to let me use the software I bought so I can use it.

Almost crying,

Floris

P.S. Why on earth do I have to agree on receiving mails I don't want in order to agree with the privacy BS? I've had two in a matter of 3 minutes, please don't do this to me. I cannot unsuscribe in the e-mail itself, so I have to go and look this up on your companies incredibly complicated and stupid website taking me even more time and making me even more annoyed

Transferring an Office 2024 license to another Microsoft account is not a straightforward process, as Microsoft does not typically allow direct transfers of licenses between accounts. However, you can try the following steps to resolve your issue:

    1. Contact Microsoft Support: Since you are experiencing issues with your current account and the activation of Office 2024, the best course of action is to reach out to Microsoft Customer Support. They can provide specific guidance and may be able to assist you in transferring your license or resolving the activation issue.
    2. Check License Activation: Make sure that the license key you have is indeed for Office 2024 and that it is not tied to your previous Office 365 account. If it is a volume license or tied to a specific account, it may not be transferable.
    3. Use the Correct Account: Ensure that you are logged into the correct Microsoft account that you want to use with Office 2024 when entering your license key. If you created a new account, you may need to ensure that the license is compatible with that account.
    4. Follow Licensing Instructions: If you have access to the original purchase confirmation or documentation, review it for any specific instructions regarding license transfer or activation.

Unfortunately, without direct support from Microsoft, there may be limitations to what you can do on your own. I understand this can be frustrating, but Microsoft Support is your best option for resolving licensing issues.
