CLick your Start Button, then just type cmd and on the resulting list, right click Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'.

Run this command in Command Prompt and press Enter.

    slmgr /ato

When that command completes, close Command Prompt and restart (not shut down) your laptop and check if Windows is activated.

If not, please provide a screenshot of the activation settings window in the Settings app.

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with activating Windows 11 Pro on your new Surface laptop. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the activation problem:

    1. Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your laptop is connected to the internet, as activation requires an active connection.
    2. Run Activation Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation, and look for the Troubleshoot option. This can help identify and fix common activation issues.
    3. Use a Different Activation Method: If the troubleshooter doesn’t work, you might want to try activating Windows via phone. This can sometimes bypass issues with online activation.
    4. Check for Updates: Make sure your Windows is up to date by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and checking for updates.
    5. Contact Microsoft Support: If none of the above steps work, you may need to reach out to Microsoft Support for further assistance, especially since you purchased the device from the Microsoft Store.

If the activation box freezes, it could be a software glitch, and restarting your laptop might also help.
