When I open settings home page it only displays System and Device settings. When I try to access a setting from my context menu, nothing happens. for ex. when I right click to context and then click the network and sharing menu. nothing opens, same thing if I right click to the update menu. I am trying to access the apps and browser menu. I can access the security side of this menu but not the setting page with the apps and default apps settings. Plus I would much like to have a way to see all of my possible setting selections.

Is that your own personal PC or is it provided by a company or education facility?

    2

If your PC is linked to a work or school account, that will cause this problem.

    Open the Settings App.

Are you able to access the Accounts section, or is that section missing, also, in the settings app, do you see any notification on any of the settings indicating they are managed by an Organization.

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with the Settings app in Windows 10 Home Edition where not all settings are displayed, and some context menu options are not functioning as expected. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows is up to date. Sometimes, updates can fix bugs that affect the Settings app.
    2. Run the Windows Troubleshooter: You can run the built-in troubleshooter for Windows settings. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot and see if there are any issues detected.
    3. Reset the Settings app: You can reset the Settings app by going to Settings > Apps > Apps & features, finding the Settings app, and selecting Advanced options, then clicking on Reset.
    4. Use the ms-settings URIs: You can directly access specific settings pages using the ms-settings URI scheme. For example, to access the Apps settings, you can type ms-settings:appsfeatures in the Run dialog (Win + R) and press Enter.
    5. Check Group Policy Settings: If you have access to Group Policy Editor, ensure that there are no policies set that restrict access to certain settings. You can check this under Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, you may want to consider performing a system restore to a point where the settings were functioning correctly, or as a last resort, a reset of Windows may be necessary.
