Hi! Sorry to hear you’re running into this. If the message on the account page says the account is blocked/locked, you’ll need to submit the reinstatement form here: https://www.microsoft.com/digitalsafety/account-reinstatement

This is different from the standard Account Recovery form. It’s specifically used when Microsoft has temporarily locked an account due to suspicious activity (for example, unusual sign-in attempts), and you’re requesting a security review to restore access.

If your Microsoft account is locked due to several failed login attempts, the best course of action is to wait for the lockout period, which is usually about 24 hours, before trying to log in again. During this time, avoid making further login attempts as they can reset the cooldown period.

When you are able to try again, use the Account Recovery Form from a familiar device and location, and ensure that you provide accurate details. If you have reached the daily submission limit for recovery forms, you will need to wait until the next day to resubmit your request.

Unfortunately, Microsoft does not have the capability to manually unlock accounts through forums or direct contact, as account recovery is fully automated for security reasons. If you continue to experience issues after the lockout period, you may want to refer to the Microsoft support documentation for further assistance.
