Dear Om yadav,
Thank you for your question and for sharing the details into Microsoft Q&A Forum.
I understand it can be frustrating when you want to reset your PC but a “recovery key” is requested and you don’t have it. At this point, I recommend that you review the information provided in the Independent Advisor’s answer on your thread. Those replies typically include the most relevant checks for this scenario.
To help narrow this down, could you please
- Clarify what you mean by “Swayam recovery key”?
- On the recovery screen, do you see “BitLocker” or “Device Encryption”
- Are you using a personal Microsoft account or a work/school account on this PC?
- Is this a personal device or a device managed by your company/school?
In many Windows 11 reset/recovery scenarios, the “recovery key” being requested is actually the BitLocker/Device Encryption recovery key (48 digits). You can try checking whether it was backed up to your Microsoft account. From another device, please go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey and sign in with the same Microsoft account used on the locked PC, then match the Key ID shown on the recovery screen to find the correct recovery key.

While our initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.
