I understand you renewed your subscription with your adult account, but your Office still said that you have to renew the subscription.
I suspect Office apps still cache and scan your child account for valid subscription instead of your adult account that you use to sign in.
Here is what you can do:
Try sign out of Office completely:
- Open Word
- Go to File > Account
- Under User Information, click Sign out
- After that close all Office apps, then reopen Word to sign in again.
This will force Office to release the child-account license token
If the above step doesn't work, you can try using Office repair. Refer to this site for instruction:
