I went to renew my subscription only to find out i could not as I was too young, I dont know how this happened. Anyway I opened another (adult) account and renewed my membership with that. I was logged into that account whilst trying to edit a file in Word. It said once again that I had to renew my membership. I double checked I was logged in to the adult account and i was and had clicked to stay signed in. It seems to be stuck in a loop. What can I do?

    Hello linda,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Q&A forum

I understand you renewed your subscription with your adult account, but your Office still said that you have to renew the subscription.

I suspect Office apps still cache and scan your child account for valid subscription instead of your adult account that you use to sign in.

Here is what you can do:

Try sign out of Office completely:

    • Open Word
    • Go to File > Account
    • Under User Information, click Sign out
    • After that close all Office apps, then reopen Word to sign in again.

This will force Office to release the child-account license token

If the above step doesn't work, you can try using Office repair. Refer to this site for instruction:

    Repair an Office application

Feel free reply back to this post if you need further assistance, I'll be happy to help.
