    Hi @scott vanderleest,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for contacting us. I would like to provide you with some information as follows:

The reason you are unable to sign in using your Business account may be because the Office applications currently installed on your computer are not the version intended for Business accounts.

First, please uninstall the current Office suite installed on your computer by following these steps:

Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Click on the current Office suite > uninstall the current Office suite.

Step 1: Go to the following website:  https://portal.office.com

Step 2: Click Apps & devices

Step 3: Download and install Office on your computer

After the installation is complete, please try signing in again using your Business account and check whether the issue has been resolved.

If the issue persists, could you please provide the following information to help us investigate further:

    • When you sign in, do you receive any error code?
    • Which subscription are you currently using? To check the subscription you are using at the moment, please visit the following link:

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to continuing the conversation.
