Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

When you redeem a Microsoft 365 code from a card, Microsoft usually asks you to add a payment method for future renewals. This does not mean you will be charged right away. It’s mainly for when your current paid period ends, so the subscription can continue automatically.

Even if you already paid for Microsoft 365, this can still appear during activation.

If you haven't tried anything yet please start by:

Make sure you are signed in with the same Microsoft account you used before:

    • Sometimes, if a different account is used, Microsoft won’t recognize your existing subscription and may prompt for payment.

    Check your subscription status:

    Redeem the code correctly:

    • Please make sure you are redeeming the code at: https://redeem.microsoft.com
    • After redeeming, it should extend your current subscription instead of charging you again.

Turn off recurring billing (if you don’t want automatic charges):

    • After activation, you can go to “Manage” and disable recurring billing.

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Regards,

    John J.D.

If you are being prompted to enter banking details for a monthly payment when trying to upload your Microsoft 365 code, it could be due to a few reasons:

    1. Billing Frequency Change: If you have opted to change your billing frequency from the default monthly to annual, this could affect how your subscription is processed.
    2. Prepaid Subscription: If you purchased a prepaid subscription with a product key, you should be able to enter that key without being prompted for banking details. Ensure that you are entering the correct product key associated with your purchase.
    3. Account Issues: There may be an issue with your Microsoft account or subscription status that requires you to contact support for clarification.

To resolve this, you may want to check your subscription details or contact Microsoft support for assistance with your account and billing issues.
