To categorize contacts in Classic Outlook, you can use the Categorize feature, but if the option is greyed out, it may be due to a few reasons. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check Permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to categorize contacts. Sometimes, restrictions may be in place depending on your account settings.
    2. Update Outlook: Make sure your Outlook application is up to date. Sometimes, bugs in older versions can cause features to malfunction.
    3. Reset the Ribbon: You can try resetting the Ribbon to its default settings. This can sometimes resolve issues with features being greyed out.
    4. Check for Add-ins: Some add-ins may interfere with Outlook's functionality. Try disabling any unnecessary add-ins to see if that resolves the issue.
    5. Repair Office: If the problem persists, consider repairing your Office installation. This can fix any underlying issues that may be affecting the functionality of Outlook.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may want to consult Microsoft support for further assistance.
