Welcome Jeffrey Smith,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum. I am here to assist you.
Regarding your case, I can see that QA Assist has already provided some helpful troubleshooting steps. you might also want to consider these options:
Solution: Enable Number pad
- Most keyboards that include a number pad let you switch it on or off. Look for a Num Lock key—if it’s disabled, the number pad won’t respond. Press the Num Lock key and then test to see if the number pad starts working.
- Press and see if the number Pad works, if not, try the Fn Key + Num lock
Besides, you need to do a few steps relate to Windows set up to work smoothy
- Update keyboard drivers: Go to Device Manager by searching on Start menu > expand Keyboards > Right‑click your keyboard device > Select Update driver > Click Search automatically for drivers > wait while Windows searches and installs any available updates > Restart your PC
- Update Windows > Go to Settings > Windows update: make sure that update fully
