Rebranding to a new domain - changing UPNs with SSO enabled - Does Microsoft offer consulting help with this?

We will be rebranding our tenant to our new domain. We would like to consult with an expert from Microsoft on this to ensure a smooth transition for our employees. Is there a service Microsoft provides around this? Having read through the documentation it seems straightforward enough but with a change of this magnitude we would like someone from Microsoft to provide some guidance. You did not mention what form of SSO you are using, presumably ADFS, but can also be 3rd party like Okta or OneLogin.

I would agree with Q&A that you should contact a partner for this, preferably the one who implemented the SSO for you, or your existing M365 partner.

    Dear @Sean Sulliva,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

For a change of this scope (such as rebranding your tenant and updating UPNs while SSO is enabled) direct assistance from Microsoft is recommended. While the public documentation provides general guidance, hands‑on consulting and tenant‑specific validation are handled through Microsoft Support.

Please raise a support ticket from the Microsoft 365 admin center so the appropriate Microsoft support or advisory team can review your environment and provide guidance tailored to your setup. The Global Admin can create a support ticket by sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Support > Help & Support.

For detailed instructions on how to get support, please refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.

Note: If you’re an end-user, please coordinate with your Office 365 Global Administrator to handle these steps.

I hope this information is helpful. If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reach out. I am here to help. Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.

Microsoft does not explicitly mention offering consulting services for domain rebranding or User Principal Name (UPN) changes in the provided documentation. However, organizations often seek assistance from Microsoft support or partner services for guidance on significant changes like these, especially when Single Sign-On (SSO) is involved. It is advisable to reach out to Microsoft Support directly or consult with a Microsoft partner who specializes in Microsoft 365 services for tailored assistance during your rebranding process.
